Redefining The Detection Of Eye Diseases.
Eradicate vision loss caused by diabetes in Singapore by 2030 and raising awareness of the importance of annual eye screening.
Early detection of many eye conditions including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma suspect, age related macular degeneration plays an important role in the prevention of vision impairment. Most of these eye conditions are silent and asymptomatic during early stages which can be vision threatening when it takes a turn for the worse.
In a study conducted by the Singapore Eye Research Institute, diabetic retinopathy has to date claimed the sight of more than 600 Singaporeans, the loss of an eye in 8,000, and visual impairment in a further 17,500. In working-age adults, diabetic retinopathy is the leading cause of vision loss.

SELENA+ uses deep learning technologies to aid optometrists in detecting diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma suspect and age-related macular degeneration. For more information about EyRIS, click here.
EyRIS develops and deploys AI Deep Learning System (DLS) in the healthcare industry. Their first DLS solution – SELENA+, performs automated image analysis for eye diseases that lead to preventable blindness such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma suspect and age-related macular degeneration. They aim to revolutionize the healthcare delivery through deep learning technology. SELENA+ has been implemented in the Singapore Integrated Diabetic Retinopathy Programme, the national screening programme for diabetic retinopathy, and is also used in more than 20 countries globally.
